Michelle Bāzis is a journalist and painter working in Northwest Arkansas. Her love of the arts was fostered at a young age playing music with her father, coloring with her mother, cooking with her grandmother, and performing as a competitive dancer. She studied journalism and fine art at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and has since specialized in content strategy and brand development for tourism and entertainment brands, marketing agencies, and editorial outlets. While the subject of her photography is mostly journalistic, her paintings lean bold and quirky. She enjoys merging styles and techniques on canvas to create smile-inducing works that add joyful energy to a space.
